![]() ![]() I got burned out and did something else for a living. Most techs get burned out and quit, some stay and go into maintenance or go into management. Advancement can be had if you know how to play the game(its all in who you know, not necessarily how good you are, and also time in/how long you've been there-lots of people quit. Customers hate you and your company with a passion, and won't hesitate to tell you about it. Many of your coworkers have either have bad attitudes, or they just dont care. Now for the bad: Pay is lower than the industry average, management will work you to death, give you 60 hrs a week of work, but then chastise you if you dont get it done in 45 hours. I was an Installation/Service Tech for 5 years. ![]() ![]() Benefits are great: They provide tools, paid training, cell phone, lap top, paid days off, vacation, flex time, health and dental, and company van. Mediacom is a great place to learn, but its not that great of a place to stay. ![]()
